First-Timer Approved: Why Splatoon Raiders Respects Your Time

Jordan recently spent some time with Splatoon Raiders on the Switch 2, and the big takeaway is that this game does not waste your time. For someone who has never really clicked with the competitive side of the Splatoon series, this entry feels like a breath of fresh air. The usual worry with multiplayer shooters is that you will spend more time in menus, waiting for lobbies, or reading tutorials than actually playing. That is not the case here.

The game gets you into action fast. Matches are short, snappy, and the pacing is tuned for quick sessions. You can jump in for ten minutes and feel like you actually accomplished something. The controls are also forgiving for newcomers, which helps a lot. Jordan noted that the game does a solid job of teaching you the basics without holding your hand for too long. You learn by doing, and the game respects that.

Of course, it is not without its rough edges. The new mechanics take a bit of getting used to, and some of the maps feel a little cramped at first. But overall, the experience is smooth. If you were hesitant about Splatoon because of the learning curve or the time commitment, this one might change your mind. It is a fun, low-pressure way to enjoy the paint-splatting chaos without feeling left behind.
