Tuesday night brought another stop on the FOX 9 Town Ball Tour, and this time Ian Leonard was in Brownton getting into some pregame antics with the Bruins. Before the first pitch, Leonard skipped the usual warm-ups and instead hit the field for a round of yard games. He was spotted tossing bags in a cornhole match and even took a few jumps in the bouncy house set up near the dugout.
The crowd got a kick out of seeing a familiar face trade the broadcast booth for some lawn toys. Leonard didn't hold back, diving into the spirit of small-town baseball with the same energy he brings to the game. The Bruins seemed to enjoy the distraction, laughing along as their guest tried his hand at a few classic carnival-style challenges.
It was a lighthearted start to what promised to be a competitive night on the diamond. For the fans in Brownton, it was a chance to see their local team share the spotlight with a little extra fun. The Town Ball Tour continues its run through Minnesota's summer leagues, bringing coverage to communities that live and breathe amateur baseball.
